Description: 5 point holster draw and advanced gun handling reloading Techniques for clearing malfunctions. Purpose: To prepare continuing students for modern action pistol (not cowboy action shooting) matches and further training experiences. This is a basic class on the presentation of the handgun from the holster, efficient reloading techniques and handgun retention. This class is to prepare you for basic and combat style handgun competitions and/or personal home defense.
Equipment: One handgun, two magazines or speed-loaders, A holster designed for that model handgun (The holster must cover the trigger guard), One magazine pouch or speed-loader pouch, a belt heavy and stiff enough to properly support the holster, pouch, loaded firearm and loaded extra magazine 150 rounds of ammunition for your firearm You must bring and wear hearing protection and safety glasses. Equipment will be inspected prior to range work.
Class Duration: 8hrs
Description: Basic Handgun Safety and Marksmanship (BHSM) is an excellent way to start shooting or to tune up your marksmanship skills. The class is comprised of approximately 3 1/2 hours of classroom theory, 2 hours hands-on manipulation with dry-fire instruction and one and a half to two hours of live-fire experience. Description: Concealed Carry & Home Defense Fundamentals is a comprehensive course for anyone considering owning or carrying a firearm for self-defense. The course is a complete guide to understanding conflict avoidance and situational awareness; home security and home defense; handgun, shotgun and AR-15 basics; shooting fundamentals; the physiology of violent encounters; the legal aspects of using deadly force (including knowing what to do in the aftermath); and a complete guide on gear, gadgets, and ongoing training. To meet the Idaho law, the legal portion of the training will be conducted by a law enforcement officer.
Per Idaho 33-3302K (4) (b) (IV), this course includes instruction in: Idaho law https://www.wikihow.com/Do-a-Tactical-Quickdraw-With-a-Pistolelating to firearms and the use of deadly force, provided that such instruction is delivered by either of the following whose name and credential shall appear on the certificate: An active licensed member of the Idaho state bar; or A law enforcement officer who possesses an intermediate or higher Idaho peace officers standards and training certificate. The basic concepts of the safe and responsible use of handguns, Self-defense principles and, Live fire training including the firing of at least ninety-eight (98) rounds by the student.
Class Duration: This training will be conducted over a consecutive two day period in the afternoon and evening, or may be an all-day class on the weekend.

Prerequisite: This course is for law-abiding adult citizens, as defined by applicable federal, state, or local law, and experienced shooters (shooters able to show mastery of the basic skills of safe gun handling, shooting a group, zeroing the firearm, and cleaning the firearm). Prospective participants can demonstrate that they have the requisite knowledge, skills, and attitudes by producing an NRA Basic Pistol Course Certificate, NRA FIRST Steps Course Certificate, NRA pistol competitive shooting qualification card, military DD 214 with pistol qualification, or passing the Pre-Course Assessment.
Description: Students should expect to shoot approximately 100 rounds of ammunition. Students will learn basic defensive shooting skills, strategies for home safety and responding to a violent confrontation, firearms and the law, how to choose a handgun for self-defense, and continued opportunities for skill development.
Class Duration: 8hrs
Description: You will learn the following: All safe gun handling skills, loading/unloading while keeping the firearm in a safe direction, trajectory, scope adjusting, zeroing, All marksmanship fundamentals, shooting positions, professional trigger squeeze, Follow through, cleaning, reassembly, how to clear a jam, malfunction drills, and what has caused them.
Equipment: This course will be priced at $100 if you have your own equipment. If you do not have your own equipment the course will be priced at $200. Please contact the instructor for more information.
